Hello to my fellow hikers, I am from Leicester and looking to do my summer ML course this year, iv'e so far logged around 15 QMD's and looking to do a few days in Scotland and looking for suggestions please.
This might be interesting, the USP is the mountain days are all 'off the side of' the West Highland Way so you could string together a few of them on a week's backpacking trip from say Crianlarich to Fort William.
ML Central in Scotland is the Cairngorms, so heading for Aviemore and planning some routes through and around the massif would keep you going for several days. Alternatively base yourself at Crianlarich or near Fort William and go for it. Glencoe will give you unmatched “security on steep ground” opportunities.
