Lace loop on footwear

Hi,

I was just wondering, does anybody use the lace loop on the tongue of their boots/trainer's?

Does the loop actually work and stop the tongue moving to the side?

No but it stops it moving up or down

I relace, avoiding loop. Means nothing to me. It actually prohibits easy insertion of my foot into the shoe. Useless gimmick on most of my shoes. As for side to side...get a life!
