Looking for a little advice

Planning to do Moel Siabod a week on Saturday, wild camp for the evening, get up early and do another hike or preferable, another scramble (Grade 1 max) and then back to Manchester in time for the England match at 2pm

So two questions really

1) is there any decent wild camping spots near Moel Siabod

2) can anyone recommend a very close hike (or scramble max Grade one) to Moel Siabod that isn't over four hours

thanks as always

1) there's quite a nice spot at the double lake SW of the summit... Nice position overlooking the water

2) obviously there is the easy scramble up Siabod itself on the SE spur... not sure of anything else unless you drive to another location...

No other scrambles within walking distance as far as I recall. You could continue your walk around the Moelwyns then drop down to Nant Gwynant where you should be able to catch the infrequent Beddgelert to Pen y Pass bus.

On the other side of the valley, Crimpiau is a nice short walk with lovely views into the next valley. It's not exactly an obvious continuation from Moel Siabod though.

You can camp very near the summit. Just walk a couple of hundred yards in the direction of the pass between Pen y Gwryd and Plas y Brenin. There is quite a large flat area. At this time of year, it's a very good place to watch both sunsets and sunrises. You could get to the summit via the Daear Ddu grade 1 scramble.

There is: Embryo Ridge, also on Siabod. It's isn't particularly brilliant, but it's there.
