We are thinking of taking the baby on a trek this summer for at least a few days (June-August). Looking for suggestions of possible routes. The ideal criteria I can think of are:

- fairly cheap and easy to get to and reasonably priced when we’re there

- a stable sunny summer climate ideally with not too cold nights

- fairly short days (4-5 hours at a good pace)

- huts to eat at and camp outside, cheap private rooms would be ideal but that’s probably not realistic

- as wild as possible within the other constraints, obviously no glaciers or sketchy river crossings

thinking maybe the picos or Eastern Europe but haven’t got any further than that. Any suggestions welcome

I recommend the Tatra Mountains, they are picturesque mountains lying in Poland. You will find a lot of well-kept trails there, more info here: https://www.tatry-przewodnik.com.pl/blog/?szlaki-dla-dzieci-w-tatrach-polsk... As I have small children myself, I recommend short trips to the valleys and you can also climb smaller peaks. Additionally, you can also see the caves.
