Hi all, I'm think of subscribing to anquet or viewranger to use on an android phone. Os maps App didn't seem to work for me (reviews suggest the android app is something others have had problems with). I've trialed viewranger and it is great but doesn't allow the same ability to print maps offered by anquet. I'd be interested in hearing opinions on both apps. Thanks gav

Use viewranger. Never heard of the other app.

Viewranger suits me fine, for planning and use on the hill though I do not use a lot of the features. Rarely download routes or record a route while walking it.

I use Viewranger (the free version) but only a means of recording how far I've walked and the route.

Although I have subscribed to OS maps too, the best combination I have found for walking is a paper map (though I sometimes print small sections of an area from Bing maps), a compass and the free OS Locate ( https://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/about/news/2014/os-locate-app-on-android-a... ) on my phone.
