Hi all,

Im looking for word of mouth recommendations for a physio in the Glasgow area. My partner is experiencing aches and pains in her lower leg and feet after any moderate exercise....including just walking to the park and back. We think it might be alignment/hip related but to be honest could be anything. She saw a podiatrist last year and got some insoles which seemed to help but recently things have been more sore for her.

Thanks in advance for your help.

David Bowmaker at Lifefit physio in Falkirk.

Massively knowledgeable physio. Lots of experience with top level athletes down.  Also has a good number of other physios working with specialist knowledge in other areas.

Highly recommended.

Jon Traverna 07779663937 based at David Lloyd in Hamilton is top notch.

He has a big following with ultrarunners and triathletes in Glasgow, and is regarded as a magician.

I have so far recently had three sessions with him (also recommended on here by Pipe cleaner). Ongoing knee issue not yet resolved but he certainly seems in a different league to other physios I have been to in his experience and knowledge.

Have a look at the Scottish National sports injuries clinic at Hampden. Really good staff and second to none resources including a hydro pool.

James Heatherwick, not technically a physio but he's amazing for hands on work, well worth seeing http://www.benefittherapies.com/james/4591918492
