Sron na Lairig, maybe, looking at the footage? Don't know it well enough. Ski mountaineering?

Glad everybody OK, will have been quite an ordeal. Clearly well enough equipped to survive the night in a very exposed spot.

In reply to Mal Grey:

don't ski mountaineers carry axes to get themselves out of such predicaments?

In reply to malk:

Do you know that they weren't? I don't know what equipment they had.

In reply to malk:

I certainly do, even if I’m not headed for a ridge.

That was the word on the street.

Does look like Sron Na Lairig. Got caught out there myself in sugary snow. We took 14 hours to get back to the car with a following group needing assistance. The ridge is comitting and there are a few pitches which you cannot reverse on abseil and retreating to the gullys may not be an option. Belays weren't great either. All got down safe but it took effort and cost me feeling in my finger tips.
