Anyone fancy some low grade routes on Helvellyn tomorrow? Was due to get out but partner can no longer make it.
The edges and gullys sound in good condition from the reports yesterday. Just need to be cautious of the cracks in the cornice above the snow bowl.
Fairly new to winter climbing but comfortable on Grade II / low III.
I'm based in South Lakes.
I can do Monday if that's any use?
Can you get out early evening one night this week? (V corner calling) will be a late night.
Unfortunately I’ll be sitting behind my desk in the office, wishing I was out! Cheers anyway, enjoy the day
I don’t think I’d be able to manage an evening this week unfortunately. I’d probably also want to get a few more routes in during daylight and get a bit more confidence.
Does sound like fun though, I’d be up for it in few weeks (conditions allowing) if you fancied heading out again?
Thanks for the offer.
Keep in touch for the next few weeks we maybe able to get out one weekend.
