Family holiday in Connemara at the end of October.

Would love to get some climbing in. Very understanding fiancé means that I can be flexible.

Happy to go anywhere within about 3 hours of Galway.

Will have a full rack/ropes/Octavia 2.0tdi

Lead around VS, but would love to climb easier, or scramble.

Also very up for some exploratory climbing in Connemara itself as it seems there is quite a lot of unclimbed rock.

Weather permitting, a trip out to Inishmore ( Aran Islands) might be interesting. Last time I went, we flew from Connemara Airport, only takes 10 minutes. Great views of the islands.

ps

We often have a week in Ireland at this time of the year ( school hols). Two years ago, we didn't have one single day of rain, with temperatures around 15-17°C in West Cork. Better than August !

Funny you should mention that, as I was discussing a 'family' trip to Inis Mor for some bouldering on one of the days we are there. I've not been yet.

Have a house there and have explored a lot of the local area, but loads to go at!
