It's the feature climbed by Zig-zag Flake Crack (VS 4b) (and also an alternative name for that route).

There's also a great flake at scafell, buchaille etive mor and Burbage quarry.

I'd guess that Gordon knows where he was climbing. Especially considering that stanage is miles away from and very substantially different to caley.

Thanks for that Gethin, very enlightening. My point was that not everyone knows that, that particular area at Stanage is called 'The Great Flake' 🙂
