/ Lost ice axe on The Aonach Eagach HELP
Hi all new to this forum but hoping for some help, a mate had a bit of a tumble on The Aonach Eagach last Saturday 3 February 2018 about midday he is ok which is brilliant had to be air lifted off though - however my ice axe sadly didn’t make it back with him. It’s a yellow Charlet Moser adze curved shaft with black grip. Can’t buy them any more and it’s a bit of a treasured possession. If anybody finds it please can you let me know alternatively if anyone has one for sale would be hugely grateful. Many thanks Fred
PS thanks to a kind soul on this form herewith a link to a picture of what it looks like
Hope it turns up - from your description I presume it was a Pulsar? http://www.tuncfindik.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/200511284558_Charlet_Moser_Pulsar_Bent-Shaft_Adze_Ice_Tool.jpg Might help identifying it if someone does come across it.
I was in the first party going over the ridge on Sunday, but didn't see any ice axe anywhere. Someone possibly picked it up later on the same day, or it had fallen of the ridge down on one of the sides.
Hope it turns up!
Thanks a lot I think possibly it went over the edge thank you for replying.
