Another Trail Magazine mistake??

I've been wrong before and perhaps I am this time but just checking;

Page 24 of the current Trail, a big photo in a major article is captioned (I'm paraphrasing) Harrison Stickle and Pike o' Stickle. Now, I'm nearly sure that it's the 'summit' of Gimmer and Loft Crag area in the picture and that Pike o' Stickle is behind the photographer.

Anyone?

In reply to Purple:

I think you're right - Google "Loft Crag from Pike of Stickle" and look at the images returned, almost identical to the photo you're talking about.

Proof-reading has never been TRAIL's strongest quality.

Trail route 2 in the current issue says that there the Wainwright count is 7 - it's actually 8.

I wonder if the TRAIL writers and editors ever get fed up of making mistakes!

In reply to Allan Young: Thought so. Best to take much of trail with a hefty pinch of salt I think.

In reply to Purple: No potentially fatal descent advice this time though.

As Trail is cyclic, you would have thought that much of the erroneous material had been cleared out by now.
