Any one good with computers. Wi fi conectivity problem

Help
my laptop has suddenly stopped conecting to wi fi.
I have tried clearing my my conections list and also a system restore but no joy.

I can find networks but when I try to connect it either won't connect or it says conected but no or limited Internet access.

I'm in Cambodia and I would prefer to try and fix it myself.

Are you sure that the connection you are trying to use isn't restricted (needs you to log on to a website and pay cash?) or just isn't working?

Can you test using a smartphone or is someone else there able to connect to it?

In reply to neil9216: Its a problem with the router, not your computer. If you can see wireless networks, but have Limited Access or fail to connect, try restarting the router. If this doesn't work, it may be that its knackered, try replacing it.

Try reset your windows network components. These can be damaged by spyware programs etc leave you with broken connectivity.

Start > run > type cmd > press ok.

type netsh winsock reset
press return

type netsh int ip reset reset
press return

reboot your PC.

You won't detect networks with wifi switched off.
