Thank you guys on here for your support and very kind messages. I really appreciate it as I love the UK as a whole and particularly Scotland and living and climbing here (as I have for the last 24 years). I was really moved by the very kind messages on this forum about my status. Good news: I got my indefinite leave to remain today! Yeah!!!! So thank you all! 

PS Yes, It should not have have happened in the first place, but the response and helpfulness on here has been very much appreciated! xxx
