Are climbers animals?

Facebook seems to think the BMC is an animal charity.  This morning it suggested to me a number of charities to donate to, each with an explanatory caption.  So British Heart Foundation and McMillan Cancer Care were identified as "human health".  The BMC was tagged "animals".

Mind you, when I think of some climbers' behaviour, maybe they have a point.

Judging by the way some of them piss and shit everywhere, then definitely yes!

I remember in France having to straddle the worlds largest human turd at an anchor point on a sport route. There was no way to avoid it, it was on a tiny ledge, just had to straddle, close your nose and hope the second doesn't make a meal of things.

I had a similar experience on Vía Valencianos (5c).  Worse, the perpetrator was someone from my own club .  Mind you, he'd been a complete dick and a total embarrassment all the way up the route.  Thankfully he's no longer a member.

I don't think that approach works. What category would you put a thought under? or time? or a smile?

In reply to henwardian:

Concepts vs objects.

If we have to stick with objects, how about a photon? Or light? Or a prion?

Yes that one on Via Valencianos was me.
Sorry about that. I'd had a Vesta Curry and a few beers the night before.

We'd started early and I'd arrived at the stance with a tortoises head
