What bird is this? It competes with the robins for the seed I put out.

Location is Glasgow, first half of the 21st century, midway through the great extinction

In reply to Flinticus:

Juvenile Robin. Good sign - I’d have a wager that this is a second brood.

In reply to Flinticus:

Baby robin.  Probably not competing so much as being shown the ropes!

We're knee-deep in them. Again.  Together with baby sparrows, blackbirds, family groups of crows and, any minute, goldfinches...

Great tits nested in a Robin box I put up in April. Allows for a quickly sneaky peek  when adults not there.

Almost certainly. We noticed a lull in their pestering then it started up again!

Whilst we had an iffy early spring, late spring and early summer has seen some good, insecty weather. Must be second brood of great tits coz a saw a young un ages ago.
