I was hoping for some advice on camping in the Lake District. I am looking for a campsite with the following:
1. Fires allowed (or at least cooking on fires)
2. Good location (and pretty/with views)
3. Reasonable toilet facilities, for my partner, who is a first time camper (not wanting to put her off)
4. Reasonable price

Any suggestions welcome!

In reply to Mattu: fisherground in Eskdale ticks those boxes. Occasional oiks from Workington, but generally a good spot.

one passed keswick towards Bassenthwaite.

Local farmer. Great campsite.....just can't remember the name.
