So far a rab infinity endurance jacket and a HH merino top, my old one got ripped beyond repair!
Got some presents from my Mum to arrive, I asked her for a helmet cam (yeah yeah yeah I know, but it's for self assement, atleast that's what I tell myself)
winter vomiting. Dirty feckin relatives. Flat coke never tasted so good
Not unwrapped anything yet although I did buy myself a couple of warthogs and some dmm ice hooks and some new gaiters. Since purchasing I have cursed the lakeland weather

In reply to Radioactiveman: Happy happy, a new book on the Mallory expeditions, 'Into the silence' as well as a pass out for a week in the summer to go to the Alps and then $600 towards my 50th birthday exped to the Himalaya in 2014. I love Christmas!!!
In reply to dale1968: I got a new lid as my girlfreind (and climber) has listened to my dry tooling reports and decided a full face crash helmet would be advisable to cope with falling rocks, falling axes, falling be-spiked climbers, and my old helmet tended to sit at a rather jaunty angle on the back of my head! Did not go full face but a new Petzl Elios that takes a visor is under the tree. 8-)
Hello again, happy Christmas. Well I was on a ski trip around those dates, but seen as I've just handed my notice in at work to go and work for myself, my holidays are now my own, I would be able to manage a climbing trip as long as I found that we were happy sitting on ledges together and it was on a proper northern climbers budget.
Switches!!! ;-> (Not out yet though, so have to be patient...) and an ultrapod mini for taking better night time walkin/out photies. Feeding The Rat and realising my rat is hungry and I need a job where I can go on an exped once or twice a year. A book on advice for how to sail solo around the world. Jura, Jura Superstition and a pork pie (climbing, whisky and pork pies are hand in hand.)
Mammut smart belay device and krab Plus western grit guide book My partner is good, although she refused to buy me a shorter rope, but I'm more than happy with my gifts, western grit was a good surprise; now to start ticking the boxes.
In reply to dale1968: my nan just gave me Classic Rock Climbs of the Lake District, an original copy she came across a few weeks ago. Well chuffed! Co:

The Christmas present haul this year was mostly climbing related so I am looking forward to the weather improving. Possibly the most amazing present was an Exped Megamat 10LXW which is more comfy than a comfortable thing, I am looking forward to spending some time on that.
I got two lovely new half ropes.....that say single rope on them. Bugger!

He clearly has no idea, but I'd never tell him!
