Copying Images on to DVD+RW

I've copied some images on to a DVD+RW and now need to delete a few of them. I'm selecting the image, properties, delete but I keep getting a message that the file is read only. I've gone into properties and tried to "untick" read only but it has no effect.
Can somebody help please?

I might be wrong, but I think you can only Add data to that kind of disk, not delete once you've written to disk?
You can only make changes to a disk which has been written in multi session mode and where space exists. Once the write session is closed your disk is read only
