I renewed my passport online on Sunday. Got it this morning. Impressive service.

No it's red with no mention of the EU.

I've always found the passport office absolutely brilliant. The last time I got one I needed it in a hurry, I drove through to Glasgow and handed in the documents around lunch time and had a new passport later that afternoon.

Likewise, I once lost my passport just before Christmas, got a new one almost straight away with issue date 25/12
