Can anyone recommend some free video editing software?

I don't want to do anything fancy, just chop a segment out of an MP4 file to send to someone, as the whole file is too large.

TIA...

Do you need to contain the quality of the video. This will help determine better and worse solutions.

Is it too big for WeTransfer?

It's a 10 minute video, of which I want to send the first 2 minutes in original quality - the rest of the video is irrelevant to the recipient.

The free go pro editor is basic, but fairly straightforward for stuff like this.

Movie Maker was fine, then MS dropped it from Windows10.

A recent update installed what might be called Son of MM, and it is utterly useless.

A 7 day trial of Adobe Creative Cloud will get you Premiere Pro, which will do this in a couple of clicks. No need to supply card details or anything like that.
