How can I return to the page/manner of viewing, which one enters when first opening a new document and starting to write and things?

Not sure exactly what you're after but try using the View menu in the top function bar and playing with either the Views or the Zoom options.

I admit it is rather cryptic.

Have you tried hitting the Any key?

Have a like, you better believe it. I attacked a uni computer in frustration, pressing any and everything to try to work out how to log on in while my 'work stress funk', and another student suddenly appeared and pressed the right thing for me, and returned to his own computer. 

It seems I'm either chilled or I'm not, quite binary. It was most appreciated.
