On the lower slopes of Beinn Chaorach, about 20ft up a mature tree.

How did this get there?? I can't figure it out.

Very high winds?

In reply to Flinticus:

If that's turf as it looks it must be the better part of 20 kilos. It'd have to be placed there rather than thrown or dropped, neither turf or branchs would survive the impact. Could it have maybe slid down banked out snow in a past winter? Or is it possibly a well rotted nest that has gradually become 'earth'?

Looks placed. Wonder if the estate/farm are trying something? As for how, though...?!

In reply to jkarran:

Banked out snow...a possibility but the required depth. Good thinking though.

Edit: would the turf have stayed in place given rain effect since the heavy snows in Feb this year.

Its a piece of Wembley turf laid after 67, the tree has grown since it was laid - the rain keeps it well watered

Witchcraft.  If you retrieve the sod you will find it wrapped around a pilot's thumb.

Looks like a bug in the terrain generation have you reported it to the devs?

It could be a platform in a side-scroller!

If I had reached it, I might have received 10 gold pieces or a handful of useful gems.

In reply to Flinticus:

The tree's been uprooted and put back again, upside down.  The turf has always been there, you just didn't notice it when it was the other way up.

Once you got under the tree it would fall out and smack you on the head. That’s Sod’s Law for you....
