/ I don't have a good feeling about the Middle East
Apparently a lot of Russians were killed by US airstrikes in a battle in Eastern Syria last week: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/13/world/europe/russia-syria-dead.html
..and Israel seems to be squaring up to Iran with talk of a regional war breaking out: http://aje.io/x9wwf
...and to put the tin lid on it, Saudi Arabia wants nuclear weapons: http://www.newsweek.com/saudi-arabia-will-go-nuclear-counter-iran-threat-wants-enrich-uranium-756618
Can't we just build a very, very high radiation proof wall around the whole place and let them get on with it?
I’ve recently upgraded my grid redundant electric and heating systems and my backup potable water supply. I need to replace my broken pitch fork.
I’m probably just pissing into the radioactive wind.
I've recently completed Fallout 3 on the XBox.
A Trumpist solution that would kill all the good people in the region.

With a hole big enough to get the oil pipe through, presumably ?
I cant imagine many in the political or security world have had any good feelings about the middle east for a long long time.
More nuclear weapons in the mix is a scary thought.
> With a hole big enough to get the oil pipe through, presumably ?
Actually, I suspect we'd get along OK without them now. There are lots of new oil fields in production now, in the South China sea, Western Australia, West Africa, West Texas. Further, as the internal combustion engine disappears so will 70% of the oil market. So no, lets not bother with a big hole.

Or most people will be forced to leave and will eventually end up living in the woods in Calais or washing up dead on a Spanish beach. We live in a global world, isolationism isn't an option.
