Does anyone know if the road up the west side of Ladybower to Slippery Stones is back to normal please? It was subject to closures for a while:

Am I right in thinking that the regular summer weekend road closure from Fairholmes is now going to be Sunday (and BH Monday) only, and that the bus up beyond Fairholmes will no longer be running at all?  Seems a real shame if so.

The Saturday closure is from the end of March until the end of October.

The bus has not run for a couple of years.  It was heavily subsidised and usage was light.  The money is now spent on other projects in the valley

Ah, so no change after all.  That's cool.  It probably wouldn't take much to cause complete carnage up there on a busy summer's day.

I didn't realise the bus had stopped already, thought I'd used it more recently than that but I guess not.  (These days I tend to avoid the place at weekends tbh, it's a bit too 'honeypot' for me.)  Still seems a bit of a shame that the bus has gone, but if it wasn't being used that's that I suppose.
