I budgeted for it dropping to $1.30. That seemed spot-on a couple of months ago but it has kept going down. Of course, it has recovered to over $1.22 during the last 24 hours and that's supposed to be cause for celebration.

I'm afraid the trend during the last two years is ever downwards with the occasional respite of a few weeks here and there. Heading below the dollar in the coming months unless something worse happens to the USA (!!!).

No conditional guesses, please! Pasbury, I'm calling foul, and I want my money back!!!

On second thoughts - I want to change my guess:

$1.26 if the Tories win
$2.44 if Labour win
$9.73 if aliens take over the world
$3.87 if Mongolia joins the EU
$6.11 if Rowan Atkinson becomes PM
$0.01 if Scotland gains independence
$153.14 if I become US president

You'll be able to trade in one pound coin for one delicious, nourishing cup of sovereignty at any of the goverment run* stores in major towns and cities.

It'll be worth nothing. We won't have houses to live in or food to eat or be able to play Pokemon Go. We'll all die.

I'm going to say £200. *
