Does seem like the dairy industry is suffering just now. Would it be a plan to reinstate the MM Boards(or at least some of their former powers) to protect the farmers from being unfairly squeezed by the processors/supermarkets?

Surely for a basic commodity as milk some price control is needed?

Surely it makes sense to buy our milk from abroad if it is to be found cheaper there... like steel, coal, gas, oil, electricity, ships, airplanes, cars, trains... infact everything! OK, we might ALL be on the dole but with our generous benefits system I'm sure we can still afford a pint of milk.
