Spot on.  The replacement of leadership in federal agencies is astounding.  The hurricane/sharpie debacle exposed some of this widely when NOAA issued a statement in defence of the president’s doctored map.  It was widely treated as a numerous event but it showed the extent to which leadership in a federal agency was compromised over honesty and integrity.  By then it was clear that NOAA was far from alone in having had its leadership replaced with trump lackeys.

“It was the last four years in real time, distilled to its very essence, proving how much the very worst people among us have been so enabled and emboldened”

The mother of all stable door bolting events is going on now removing platforms from some of the worst of us.  I hope that tolerance for the fanatical extremes left and right is going to reduce now its inevitable ending spelt out, including to those who spent the last 4 years in denial and in defence of this.

Ironic that the election safeguards is apparently one of those dismantled institutions.

Her book on Trump, Too Much and Never Enough, is amazing. Highly recommended.
