Just wondering if anyone knows what one can do with old OS Maps - anyone know of any places where you can recycle them/ trade them in? I've contacted O/S and they said they dont recycle old maps - Would flee baying them make much money (Are there many people out there who buy old maps???). We are looking at easily 20 years + for some of the Maps.

I ironed and then framed a reproduction of a 60s map of the Peak. The first one edition after it became a national park I think.

Keep them, maybe some one will want one for art one day.

People do collect old maps and i know that oxfam sells them so it could be worth going to your local oxfam and handing them over to them

Or use to line the inside of cupboards etc. Someone at work did this with their kitchen units using some old Lakes maps - the house is in Ambleside so I suppose it suits quite well, but is a novel idea.

Don't think I'd get away with it at home...!
