At 58. He was a funny man, very dry humour and self-deprecating with it

Damn, I liked him. He was brilliant on Room 101 talking about his experiences as a middle class man on a construction site.

Sad news. They ought to publish The Tiger Who Came for a Pint, in tribute to him... RIP you crazy bugger:

I've watched this loads of times and it's bloody funny.  I'd always wanted to go and see him on stage

Oh no that's really sad.

I hope they follow through with his wishes and fly-tip him in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Sad news indeed. He wasn't afraid to push the boundaries, which is exactly what a comedian is supposed to do.

Definitely this ^^

He was one of the best, very sad news.

"What would you want your obituary to say?"

"I don't care, I'd be dead" He was such a gem. Going to miss him. RIP Sean.

A couple of months younger than me. With so many repeats on Dave, I hadn't noticed his absence with his illness.

Sad news; I always enjoyed his TV appearances.

I had no idea he was ill. Used to love him on various panel shows, especially if he started getting bored with the other comedians and guests.

I just knew the 'challenging wank' one would be in there. Shouldn't have watched that while eating my dinner!

If you've not seen it, check out his sitcom from ages ago - 15 Storeys High.

Top comedian and based on his public persona I suspect a top bloke too. There was a lot of speculation about him on the last series of cats does countdown. Unfortunately it proved to be correct.

Or scatter his ashes in Piers Morgan's eyes, as he also suggested.

Him sharing the best advice his dad ever gave him: "Never go in a pub with a flat roof".

Always true.
