Thrushes

Is anyone else doing the BTO's Winter Thrush survey? I did my first walk of my route last weekend and despite planning a mix of woodland and field with berries and apples a plenty all I saw were 6 blackbirds. Hoping for better today.

Come to think of it, whilst Thrushes used to be pretty common, it's rare to see or hear them these days.

This has the a great Android app. You stick in your user details and you can submite casual or list observation from your phone with GPS location.

Thanks for that. Although I knew about it I'd been too busy/lazy to get get involved. Strangely, over the last few days I've noticed an increase of thrushes in the garden and on my daily run. Grim news on the migrating tho.

In reply to Philip: I havent seen a thrush in ages ..and even longer since I have seen a song thrush..

and I live in great territory for them.
