25 billion for roads

432 million for climate change

Good, that all makes sense then

But they are carbon offsetting with all those magic money trees.

You'd think there was an Election in the air.

Yes, huge public spending projects all over the place; going back on everything their economic policy has, er, "achieved" for the last 9 years, and making the previously ridiculed borrow and spend labour policy look positively scrooge-like.....

Its all very confusing.....

Javid saying there'll have a to be a "significant economic policy response" for a no deal (that they're striving for) the economic impact of which "nobody really knows", so I'm not going to bank those particular spending promises right now to be honest.

Also, "Nobody really knows": anyone remember that slogan from the referendum?

If there was an Election, these figures would look great on the side of a big red bus.

Have I understood this correctly?

Lots of public money promised by a Conservative government is investment in the country.

Lots of public money promised by a Labour government is reckless spending.

Strong and Stable

Tough on crime

Just get it done

Such phrases, even if complete fabrications, are hard-wired into the British psyche.

They'd look even better flipped on a big green bus.

Too subtle. A big red bus screams Boris is a Fekin Lier.

Then we're f*cked and need to go back to primary school.

Boris seems to be getting more like Trump everyday - say anything that sounds good and ignore anything inconvenient.

I would have thought he or his advisers might have known the nuclear fusion project he mentioned at the conference yesterday as a great example of what we can do in the UK, is very largely funded by the EU.

The 220m he's promised is a drop in the ocean

Back when I worked at JET (Joint European Torus, clue in the name) in the 90's their annual budget was over 90m, probably lower now though, as its just being used as a test bed for ITER

MAST is a much smaller and cheaper project though.
