Is diabolical. I blame Kim Jong Un for setting off all those nukes. RSole.

In the short time I have here now I can't even console myself with the company of Mrs. Num Num. Apparently she's gone for a picnic on the Mer du Glace.

I walked from Plan De L'Aiguille to Montenvers yesterday and there was evidence of overnight snow at that altitude and obviously more higher up.

It's been fine all week. Just today it's poor. Tomorrow's looking stunning. Just a shame we're going home then.

Go to Poco Loco and eat burgers until it stops. I've just braved the 50m walk to the supermarket.

If you're in Chamonix I don't think much of your idea of fine. The last partly decent days I had were Sunday(walked from Tre Le Champ to Flegere)/Monday.

Been past it a couple of times. Just waiting for my transfer now.

It's all relative. It's Chamonix. It's September.

I've been training (running) here all week and spent hours at height. Not once has the waterproof come out of my pack.

You need to thank your lucky stars it's not pissed it down constantly this week, which could have easily happened!

Indeed, I see the distinct lack of precipitation and strong wind as a great positive. I'm in one of coolest places in Europe and I'm loving it.

Safe journey home.
