Imagine you have no internet. What we be a good dongle preloaded with enough data to do Zoom meetings etc. Quality counts on this example.

Edit: for a MacBook

Can’t you just tether to your smartphone?

Or get a mifi unit, some are available on 1 month contracts. You'll want 20Gb+ data, and speed depends on mobile signal in your area. A signal analyser app on your phone can give you an idea. A decent 4G signal is fine for video calls

Not in this example.

Just been checking and was thinking the same. One month max is all that is needed.

I used to do that but often if someone rang me it dropped the WiFi and I got booted from the server.

I have a dongle now, 60 gig a month plus the dongle for £15.99 a month plus vat from EE, don't know about a 1 month contract though.

Maybe a pay as you go Sim in an old phone?

You can get a Three payg type sim loaded with 24GB of data which lasts for 24 months (or until you use it up) for around £30 if you search online, and pick up a used dongle or mi-fi device on a well known auction site relatively cheaply.
