best free online photo album

 freerangecat 17 Apr 2013

My brother got married at the weekend and my Mum keeps asking me to email the photos I took to people. it would be much easier for everyone if I could upload them somewhere and just email the link. I know nothing about doing this though, so what's the best, free, simplest site please?

thanks. I've just had a quick look and it says nobody can download photos from a free Flickr account (minor concern), and that it would be disabled if it were not accessed for 90 days (more of a concern). would this probably be the same whatever I used?

I agree that dropbox is very good for sharing.
It makes it very easy to download whole albums, rather than having to go photo by photo.

I think for this I'd prefer something where the photos can be viewed online; being able to download them is a minor concern that I could live without. looks like it'll have to be Flickr then if nobody else has any other suggestions?

I'm sure you can download from a Free Flickr account if you have the settings adjusted accordingly. I find Dropbox a bit more of a faff in terms of initial set-up and permissions etc.

Yep, photos can be viewed from dropbox online.

I too would go the dropbox way.

If you're a gmail user, download picasa or in gmail go more->photos at the top

Picasa looks perfect, thanks, as I use gmail already. I assume there's an easy way of sharing the album with people?
