Anyone got recommendations for a good slr rucksac? Just been round all the shops and couldn't find anything suitable.
I ideally want waist support, sternum strap, padded storage for slr and 4 medium sized lenses as well as a bit of space for general gear you take on outings.

I'll be using it for hill walking, scrambling, climbing.

In reply to yarbles: Or, what do you use and how effective is it? From searching online it's looking like I may have to get creative with some scissors and a sewing machine.

I was given one of these for christmas* a couple of years ago: http://products.lowepro.com/product/Flipside-400-AW,2116,14.htm

Very comfortable and fits all sorts in it.

Some might find the fact that you have to take it off to get at your cameras frustrating, others might like the added security that offers.

i.e. I didn't go out and choose it, but it was well chosen as it's ideal for my needs.

In reply to yarbles: Hi, I got a Dakine Mission Photo Camera backpack. Has plenty of space to fit loads of camera equipment in. However its a bit on the pricey side. Well worth the investment though. Its designed for snowboarding and skiing so very good at keeping the elements out to.

Might be a bit small for your stated needs, but looks an interesting option:

Lowe Pro Orion is pretty damn good depends on what lenses you take I guess. In mine I usually carry the following:

SLR with integrated grip
24-70/2.8
70-300/5.6
50/1.4
SB-910
Misc cards/batteries/filters
paclite smock
fleece top
and attached to it a 3 series gitzo.

Failing that I have a slightly bigger more sturdy bag (pro trekker maybe?) but it rarely gets used to be honest.
