Having been an avid film user/consumer in my youth and spending some useful hours in the darkroom at school I've bought myself another 35mm film camera with the intention of getting back into using film (and my old lenses) but it seems to have all changed with the demise of Kodak and the digital invasion, can anyone suggest a good online resource for learning what is what now, especially with regards to availability.
I've trawled through 9 pages of this forum so far and read about all of your fridge hoarding

In reply to woolsack: Thanks for those, I can see a few online purchases coming from either of those companies. Processing some b&w film will be a good start and give a bit of instant gratification into the process to wean me off of digital

I know your OP is about online resources of information but I thought it worth mentioning that Boots often has some sort of offer (used to be 3 for 2, now the slightly less enticing "buy one, get the second half price") on film, and they tend to have Ilford HP5+ in stock. Worth knowing if buying in small quantities as AG and so on have a fixed minimum postage price.
Some places sell via Amazon too.
