Just bought a new camera body, pana g9 and was looking into insurance. Does anyone bother? And Could anyone recommend a company to look into cheers.

Have you checked your house contents insurance?
It may be covered by that. I killed my Panasonic GH4 in February and the house contents replaced with a GH5.
Just a thought.

As a hobby photographer, I just use my house contents insurance. My limit under personal possessions away from home is generous enough to cover my camera and lenses.

I very much bother. I have global insurance, not for work on about 6k of kit for c. £150 a year. Covers theft, accidental loss and damage all with a £100 excess, including theft from a vehicle. Company is Eversure. Never claimed so no feedback on that side of things!
