Have you seen Dan Arkle's gallery on the Telegraph website today? Some interesting photos from a fellow climber. I know some have been on UKC before, but I've not seen all of them.

and I'd disagree, finding the latter far more involving. I find it difficult to make out much detail in Dan's work.

Fair enuf! It might be subject matter that makes me like them, but if Dan's planets were perhaps a little greater in circumference then they'd be even better.

Thanks guys, I hadn't realised they had put them up yet.

With regards to making the details out, I've tried to optimise them for printing at a reasonable size. All the more recent ones do have a good amount of detail, that can't really be see in a 1000pixel file.

I supposed I should release a cropped series to show the detail more, if people prefer that. Or have zoomable versions like my Stanage panorama (where this link http://tinyurl.com/6zr4npx gives a much better impression of it than the ukc verion: http://www.ukclimbing.com/images/dbpage.php?id=183166).

Thanks to all on UKC who have encouraged me over the years, it has really given me the motivation to keep at photography. I still remember the first time I got a photo with a 5star rating
