Ain't nature wonderful.

Awesome pictures. A couple of years ago I went to see the entries on display at the natural history museum. There were loads more images and it was a really good afternoon out.
In reply to JJL:

I like the one of the polar bear better than the winner but agree that there are some excellent shots in there.

In reply to JJL: Stunning shots. If I die having taken one shot of a similar quality to those I'd be a happy man.

In reply to a lakeland climber: I agree with the Polar bear photo.Just stunning. The Tiger shot is also brilliant, but I don't fancy setting up my tripod!

In reply to JJL: Just to add that there is a UK version of this award 'The Wildlife Photographer of the Year'. I've never bothered to enter this one, but as they say if you don't enter you will never win anything!

Was gutted to miss out on making it into this year's exhibition: fell out of the last round of judging

I'm looking forward to seeing the exhibition though.

These were for the Mammal Portraits: http://andyhphotos.com/Galleries/Wildlife/content/IMG_7345_large.html

Both almost made it which mean that I need to try harder next year!

I think these are of a higher standard.

In reply to hindu: Very good Andy, but it just needs that extra winning ingredient, like the polar bears photo has in spades.

In reply to JJL: Those British award photos are stunning. I always feel we are at a disadvantage on the wild life front because the most exciting creature we have is a badger. But those photos prove me very wrong.

In reply to Sean Kelly: thanks (and I agree...no great chore spending more time out with the camera!
