The BMC Welsh Climbing Championships (Lead Cup Round 2) is taking place at Beacon Climbing Centre in Caernarfon, North Wales, on Saturday 3rd June.This lead climbing event is open to everyone (you don’t need to be Welsh) including Senior competitors (born 1997 or earlier) and all Junior categories down to Youth E (born in 2009 or earlier). The event also forms Round 2 of the BMC Lead Cup for all categories except Youth D & E.

Saturday 3rd June 2017.
Registration/warm up opens at 8am and closes at 9am.
Climbing starts at 10am and will include two qualifying rounds and a final.
Online entry is mandatory and the deadline for entries is 12:00 (midday) on Wednesday 31st May. Please note that entries submitted after this date, and entries on the day, will not be accepted.

Age categories.
There are seven categories, with separate male and female competitions, that follow the IFSC (International Federation of Sport Climbing) system based on year of birth.
Youth E – born in 2008 & 2009
Youth D – born in 2006 & 2007
Youth C – born in 2004 & 2005
Youth B – born in 2002 & 2003
Youth A – born in 2000 & 2001
Juniors – born in 1998 & 1999
Seniors – born in 1997 or earlier
BMC Lead Cup.
This event forms part of the BMC Lead Cup Series. Participants in Senior, Junior and Youth A-C categories attending all events will receive an overall series ranking.
