DESIGN DIRECTOR - Climbing and Mountaineering Apparel
The Company
The leading foreign owned Outdoor products brand in China, established in 1996.
Job Profile:
To be in charge of a team of Chinese designers, directing them to create ranges of products for the Chinese outdoor and mountaineering market.
To direct the creative process to ensure that products meet the needs of mountaineers and climbers.
Staying informed about market trends in Europe and America as regards the latest in styling and manufacturing technologies and to ensure that products are up to internationally recognized standard.
Candidates' Profile:
Preferably being an experienced climber or mountaineer with ideas of how to create great functional garments.
Possessing a high level of creativity and the ability to convey such to a team of designers for execution.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with the Chinese design team.
BA or MA in Fasion design/Sports Performance design or comparable education.
Minimum of 5 years experience in designing outdoor products and selecting appropriate materials.
Willingness to spend at least two years in Beijing, China.
