At the recent OutDoor Friedrichshafen show DMM introduced some new products for 2013/14. You can watch DMM Product Manager, David Noddings, talk through the new additions in a couple of videos filmed at the stand out in Germany. http://dmmclimbing.com/blog/outdoor-2013/

In the Thor, we’ve produced the world’s first 11 kN gate-open rated wire-gate carabiner and it only weighs 36.4 grammes. Watch the short clip to learn more about this truly versatile carabiner. http://dmmclimbing.com/news/2013/07/new-products-at-outdoor-friedrichshafen...

The Rhino is a specialised belay biner with a fully rounded top bar for smooth belaying and wear resistance. The horn at the top of the back bar can prevent a number of locking assisted devices sliding round and cross-loading the spine. Non-rope bearing surfaces feature our signature I-Beam construction to minimise weight. Watch the preview clip for a closer look. http://dmmclimbing.com/news/2013/07/new-products-at-outdoor-friedrichshafen...

Our small but perfectly formed I-Beam XSRE Carabiner is cute. Rated at 4 kN it is an accessory biner and not intended as a climbing carabiner. Compact, oval shaped and colour coded this product developed from the arborist market for use rope hauling and with tool lanyards but its potential uses are only limited by your imagination. Use it to attach your nut key to your harness or set-up a hammock. You’ll want to buy one first and think of a use later.

Our top of the range ice tool, the Switch, is finally ready and will be in the shops this autumn. Find out about our full range of axes, including some first-hand experience of using them from Nick Bullock and Rob Greenwood, in the video at the foot of this page. http://dmmclimbing.com/news/2013/07/new-products-at-outdoor-friedrichshafen...

The Alpha Light - the Alpha Trad's little brother - will be available from August and has all the weight advantages of the Phantom but with a bigger gate-opening and modern ergonomics.

In the soft goods department we showed our new range of climbing specific bags to accompany you on your multi-pitch adventures, bolt clipping days out or simply to throw in the overhead locker on the plane. Look out for them in spring 2014 - more on the blog. http://dmmclimbing.com/blog/outdoor-2013/ We’ve a new 11 mm rope, the Dynamo, ideally suited for use in outdoor centres and ropes courses, available in custom lengths of up to 500 metres. And our popular t-shirts and hoodies are back. Such has been the demand for them we’re currently waiting for another batch of t-shirts to arrive in the warehouse.

For more details of all these products and our entire 2013/14 range you can download a pdf of the catalogue (25 MB). http://dmmclimbing.com/documents/DMMCatalogue2013.pdf

In reply to Chris Rowlands - DMM:
Can anyone tell me the range of belay devices that work with the rhino, ie which it is designed to stop sliding down to cross or reverse load it? I have a variable controller at the mo which obviously would still move about. Presumably it would work well with a grigri.

How much will the alphalight weight? 26grams like the phantom?

Liking the idea of the thor/rhino.
