The Climbers Shop, Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes

No matter what part of the world you are planning to travel to, make sure you pop along to the Climbers Shop in Stony Stratford Milton Keynes on the first Saturday and Sunday of March for information, deals and fun as we celebrate all things expedition.
We will have a fantastic team of expedition climbers and technical equipment experts who, along with our resident staff team of intrepid adventure travellers will be on hand both days to share stories, talk equipment and make sure you get the very best in product advice and fitting so that you can enjoy your trip to the max.
All day Saturday you will have the unique and rare opportunity to chat to our special guest and climbing legend; Rab Carrington . Founder of Rab clothing and Patron of the British Mountaineering Council, Rab has climbed extensively on expeditions all over the world and has a wealth of stories to share from new routing in the Cairngorms, climbing in Yosemite and Patagonia, a first ascent of Jannu (77010m) in Nepal, to buying a sewing machine and creating then testing his first down sleeping bags and clothing. If you have any questions on how to stay warm in extreme temperatures – Rab’s the man to ask!
The weekend will also see the launch of our new range of specialist expedition clothing meaning that anyone heading off to colder climes can come and try on a choice of down suits, gloves and bootees within an hours drive of Birmingham, Oxford, Cambridge and London. Where else can you do that in the UK? We will have representatives from the UK’s leading expedition equipment brands, Rab and Mountain Equipment, whose heritage, specialist knowledge of garment design and fabric expertise may help make the difference between buying an item for just one trip or buying a couple which will become firm favourites in your outdoor armoury whenever you head outdoors. There will be special deals, giveaways, challenges and even free workshops on how to plan your own expedition lead by British Mountain Guide Technical Director Adrian Nelhams.
Make sure you book your ticket for Saturday evening too, when we will head to The Crown Inn for a for yet more inspiration from British Mountain Guide and owner of the International School of Mountaineering; Adrian Nelhams. Adrian has over twenty years’ experience of running commercial expeditions in Kyrgyzstan and will be sharing pictures and stories of climbing new routes and travelling in this stunning region. Booking will be essential for the evening as places are limited to just 40 tickets at £5 each. Be sure not to miss this fantastic evening which includes a buffet and best of all – every penny raised from ticket sales will be donated to Doug Scott’s charity Community Action Nepal.
Sunday will be our Grand Prize Draw Day with a prize pool totalling £2000!!
