We travel to Rjukan on Sunday morning 23rd Feb 2014, returning to the UK Saturday 1st March . Flights are possible to Oslo Gardermoen airport from Manchester, London, and some other regional UK airports. We need to arrive in Oslo no later than 3pm. The trip on to Rjukan by road in a hire car takes around three hours.
Monday and Tuesday are spent learning to climb ice (for the beginners), or getting back into the swing of things (for intermediates). Instructor:client ratio is 1:3
Wednesday is a day off to visit the 2nd world war historical sites, go ice fishing, to ski powder for the day (the ski option costs extra, other options inclusive), or to climb independently.
Thursday and Friday we consolidate our new skills climbing multi pitch ice routes at an appropriate grade. Instructor:client ratio is 1:2
