PURE OUTDOOR INSTRUCTOR TRAINING COURSE (12 Months) Part Time.

Outdoor Instructor Training Scheme @ Pure Outdoor

Our unique in-house training scheme is designed to train a group of up to 6 candidates to become a Peak District Outdoor Instructor during the course of a year.

All being well, by the end of the scheme you would have attended courses aimed at training you to become a Hillwalking, Climbing and Caving Instructor along with a relevant Teaching Qualifcation and First Aid Certificate. This is not the only benefit as there is a huge amount of value added through the mentoring and shadowing side of the scheme along with advice on setting up a new business, outdoor industry advice and help with starting up as a freelance outdoor instructor. The emphasis is not only on giving you the experience to get qualified but also to make you a top instructor.

The scheme is designed as a part-time training scheme that can be achieved in a year alongside work or study. Much of the course will be over weekends with occasional weeks throughout the year. The calendar will be released mid January.

Are you churning out MIAs and MICs from this course?

If not, at least as far as climbing goes, you should consider carefully using the word 'instructor' in your blurb.

To be totally, crystal clear, you are judging the paperwork after a deadline and then contacting potential clients?

Even if the people who contact you first have the cash?

We have no intention of course participants to become MIC or MIA on this course however we are happy with our use of the word instructor in this instance as this course is doing exactly that, delivering training to produce top quality outdoor instructors.

In reply to tatty112: The skills take time to master, but we can give people the best start through building skills, experience and qualifications in a focused year which may otherwise take many.
