Having spent a couple of days in the Lakes with a dog (not mine) I reckon these waste bags are a great idea for carrying dog mess safely in your pack.

Have forwarded the link on!

That's a use that I hadn't thought of. And a lovely thought for a Sunday evening. Thanks Martin.

In reply to Hugh Cottam:

I've always thought crampon bags were a bit lame but after realising 90% of my ice climbing is crag climbing these days, and that I rarely need to carry my pack up the routes, decided to try the Podsac one this winter. Had it since Christmas and very happy with it. Tough material without being too heavy and definitely keeps my sharp monopoints from going through thin rucksack side material, which has happened in the past.

In reply to TobyA:

Thanks for the good feedback Toby. I was of a similar opinion myself, but as I've acquired slightly nicer and better kit, it's very disappointing to end up trashing it with crampons. We're selling a lot of these now.

In reply to Hugh Cottam:

Crampon bags look neat. Question though - what colour is 'tuareg'? Or 'henna' for that matter?
 TobyA 26 Feb 2014
In reply to due:

The names of the colour are a bit useless aren't they!? Mine is somewhere between red and brown - 'rusty red' sounds good, but then I'm red and green colour blind so my wife would probably shake her head in disbelief at my normally hopeless attempts to describe colours.

More usefully I've found with monos, if you put the crampons together both facing the same way and put them heel first into the bag - when you do the roll top up that wodge of rolled material makes a really firm barrier against the spikey mono points.

I see in the pic of the crampon bag there are clip loops? Are there any at the top of the bag so I could clip it to outside of my pack?
OP Hugh Cottam 27 Feb 2014
In reply to bigdelboy:

Hi Del, the simple answer is yes there are. I'll try and answer in more detail later when I get some pictures uploaded,

cheers Hugh

In reply to due:

Sorry just noticed this. The Henna is the rusty red colour that you can see in the pictures. The Tuareg is a rather nice bluey colour. Google "tuareg colour" images and you'll get the idea. get some more picture up on our website when I get a chance. Incidentally, I know these colour names are rubbish. We inherited these from when the Podsacs products were not sold extensively on the web.

In reply to Hugh Cottam:

That looks perfect, cheers Hugh. Will get one ordered. I'll try and convince my other half that I need an alpine 30 as well!

In reply to bigdelboy:

As I mentioned on the other thread we are close to running out of our Alpine 30 stock.
