The SMC climbers' guide to The Outer Hebrides (£29.95) is due in to the warehouse this week, and discounted pre-order ends on the 5th August.
To celebrate it's launch we are giving away five A3 posters to the mighty Sron Uladail, signed by the Harris section author Rab Anderson. This jaw dropping cliff is one of the UK's most impressive pieces of rock architecture, and is home to a multitude of classic rock climbs spanning the full grade range, from VD to E9. The diagram is an extensively researched, high resolution photo of the entire crag, with all routes and their belays marked. This masterpiece will look perfect stuck to your office/kitchen/bathroom/any wall, trust us... and maybe it will inspire you to be like Tony Stone, seen climbing The Scoop on the front cover!
To be in with a chance of receiving a copy simply reply to this post and your name will be entered into the SMC random name selector machine, we will contact winners via UKC. The draw will close on the 13th August.
Whilst you are at it, why not buy a copy of the guide for a discount price of £25 by clicking the pre-order button below and using the code SMC18.

First come, first served ?.... I wish!
Lived in Lewis until 2015 and camped under Sron Ulladale with DofE kids. Fantastic place to climb, with great sea cliffs just up the road. While the weather is great, Lewis and Harris are probably the loveliest places in the world. Get up there!
Yes please!
Yes please. Pre-ordered last week...
Ok
Sounds great - can it be scrunched up to fit in a pocket en route - or just tear out the section required??
Count me in
Sounds superb.
...it will go nicely with my Gogarth poster by Ground Up.
I was wondering about having it installed at the base of the crag on a nice sign post type thing
So we just reply to this post? Hope that's right.
Is it too late for my average new route to go in the book?
They arrive in the warehouse tomorrow, so unless I go in and update them all with my red marker pen, yes too late - sorry!
On the plus side, if you send it over to Rab and I and it's on one of the sections that gets put into the App it can definitely go in there.
By the way, by posting this you've been entered into the competition, did you mean to do that?
One on every stance would be nice.
Psyched, my cell needs this.
As long as there’s no misprints, count me in.
Looking forward to taking the guide on my next trip!
Tell you what, once the guide comes out you buy a copy and give it a good check. Once you've confirmed no misprints I'll put your name down for a poster...
Count me in please. Talking to my pal Garth, who was up on Lewis again a month or so ago with Rab, there are some amazing lines to be had. His tales made it sound very enticing - must visit soon.
On my trip To Do list for sure.
I was merely commenting on the recent "DIGITAL FEATURE: The Finest Crags in the UK & Ireland: Lewis, Outer Hebrides" which had a few errors I pointed out, they were quickly corrected, and I received no thanks.
I'm sure its a lovely poster.
yes please!
A poster would be great inspiration for a return to Strone. It’s been far too long.....
Neil
Certainly will be a psyche builder! Especially when Freddie completes his set of smc guides!
Can't wait to see the new guidebook.
Rained all week... Lost the will.. Climbed nothing.
Definitely going back.
Please pick me !
I'm gonna need a bigger wall...
Does the back cover have a photo of Tony Scoop on Stone.
I’m in!
Oh, go on then.
I know how these raffles work.
By being last on the thread my entry must be at the top of the pile.
#strategiesforwinning
Oh go on then
I've been getting significantly aroused by the new guide since it arrived yesterday!

I took it to Cambusbarron quarry with me. And then took it to bed with me.........
roll on next summer
Please!
About 3 weeks too late for our pab/Ming trip this year. But there’s always next year
In hope more than expectation
Please
Yarp
Me please!
Boom!
Yes please!
Yes please!
Fingers crossed.
Me. Pick me.
Ooh, me, me!
Only three days to go. Excited.
That you sneaking in a double entry Steve !
When are you producing the Dove poster topo?
Cheers, Iain
Ha ha, one for me and another for Karin!
The climbing on Dove Crag is quite complex and a poster could be a great idea. Perhaps I could swap one for a Sron Uladail poster. I can send you a Dove Crag Topo.
Pick me!
Ooh
Ah, that's just greedy !
It would be a great step up from the Eastern Fells photo topo, maybe encouraging a few folk to head up there. Can't believe how little attention there has been up there, given what a summer it's been.
Cheers, Iain
Ooh. Still time to sign up for this?
