Hi, I’m Bertrand, one of the two authors of the guidebook Falaises de Corse that describes almost all the sport climbing crags of Corsica.
I write this post to inform that there is a new release of the guidebook (7th edition 2022). You can find all information and the map of the crags here: https://omegaroc.com/en/sport-climbing-guidebook-corsica-falaises-de-corse/
NB: The guidebook is also available on digital version.
Don’t hesitate to ask if you have any question about climbing in Corsica.

Have a good day

Bertrand

Hi there,

Great news on your book, I'm sure it will be a great resourse for people doing that type of climbing. I don't suppose there are any reallly good trad guides to the island by any chance? We were supposed to come over for the GR20 this year but all flights from the UK were non existant so we are moving it on to next year. Thanks.

Hi olddirtydoggy,

There are no trad specialized guidebook to Corsica but there are a few trad crags that you can find on the guide Falaises de Corse: L’échappatoire near Aiacciu (Ajaccio) Verghellu not so far from Corti and the best one: Punta Bigornu at Col de Bavella.

But if you want to climb trad there are many multi-pitch routes that you can find in the guidebooks

Grandes voies de Corse: https://omegaroc.com/en/multi-pitch-climbing-guidebook-corsica-grandes-voie...

Or Bavella Corsica: https://omegaroc.com/en/multi-pitch-climbing-guidebook-corsica-bavella/

For multi pitch trad, the best places are Ascu Stagnu, Paglia Orba (only on summer because of the elevation) and of course Bavella.

Hi Bertand,

In two weeks, I'm travelling to Corsica. Earlier I posted a question on this forum and got a lot of good advice from Olivier S, a friend of you: https://www.ukclimbing.com/forums/destinations/rock_climbing_in_corsica-747...

I bought the Bavella multi-pitch climbing book. It’s superb with photodiagrams and route descriptions that look very precise. It’s also more than a guide. There are plenty of beautiful pictures and anecdotes and portraits about local climbers. Great job!

I can't wait to be there!

Hi Kicki,

I don’t know why the post disappeared from the forum but anyway, thank you for your kind message about the Bavella climbing book.

I hope you will enjoy your trip in Corsica. Don’t hesitate to ask for more information
