In the 4th week of May 2012 V12 Outdoor will be going head to head with Outside in a race along the Cuillin Ridge in Skye as part of a Mammut test promotion. There will be a team of two competing from each of the two stores. At V12 it will be Jimmy big guns and Gareth not so big guns!
In the spirit of the occasion we are busy putting together some kit we have found while stock taking and clearing old displays to make up a descent prize for someone, it will be in excess of £1500 in value. This we are going to give to the person that comes closest to predicting Jim and Gareth's time over the ridge. There are two ways to enter: you can either 'like' our facebook page:

which will be posting regular updates as we near the occasion and be giving you more insight into the team, training and suchlike so you can hopefully make a more accurate guess. With luck we will have updates on the day too! and then goto the event page, you can then enter your estimate in hours:minutes:seconds by sending us a message, this gives us all the info we need to contact you should you be correct, alternatively if you don't have facebook and are a customer and signed up to our newsletter send your estimated time in Hours:Minutes:Seconds to:

with the heading 'Cuillin Race Prize'. You must include your full name and the estimated time in the E-mail. Multiple entries are allowed but it will be the last entry before the competition closes that will be taken as your final entry, this gives you the opportunity to take account of the weather, team condition and morale! The competition will cease at midnight on the night before the race day. This will be announced nearer the time. The prize is non exchangeable.
We are going for the fast and light approach so intend to do it in less than 24 hrs. Items in the prize fund include: Single Rope, Rucksack, Chalk, Liquid Chalk, MSR stove, Guidebooks, Socks, North Face Hard shell, Nuts, Biners, Cams, Sleeping Bag and much much more, keep an eye on our facebook page and the newsletter for more details of both the prize and the race.
